Where to Kayak

Hour/Half Day Rentals:

  • Fairhope Pier Area – The area around Fairhope Pier is very picturesqe and beautiful. Great for those hour or half day rentals.
  • Fly Creek Area- Also a very beautiful area. Lots of wildlife and great opportunities for photos.

Daily Rentals:

These areas could probably be done also with half day rentals, but why cheat yourself?

Batram Canoe Day Use Trails:

  • Globe Creek Trail – Starting in the upper reaches of the Mobile-Tensaw Forever Wild Property, this trail begins in a small waterway that meanders through mature bottomland hardwood forests.
  • Red Hill/ Proctor Creek Trail – Crossing the open water of Tensaw Lake to these small feeder creeks offers an opportunity to explore the remote backwaters.
  • Douglas Lake Trail – Traveling up Tensaw Lake and into Douglas Lake, this trail is characterized by its lake-like setting.
  • Richardson Island Trail - Departing from Rice Creek landing, this simple trail follows Rice Creek, Brier Lake and Tensaw Lake around Richardson Island.
